Robinsons Place Roxas to open Feb. 13
The much-awaited opening of Robinsons Place-Roxas in Pueblo de Panay, Barangay Lawaan is on Feb. 13, 2014.
Roxas City Mayor Angel Alan Celino said he welcomes the entry of big investments in this city such as the Robinsons mall.
It reinforces the city’s image as an emerging investment haven in the region, he said.
The mall was set to open last Decemeber 8 to coincide with the Sinadya Festival. But it was postponed after super typhoon Yolanda lashed through the Visayas a month before the mall’s scheduled opening and left a wide swath of destruction never seen in history.
The 37,000 sq/m two-storey mall houses a supermarket, department store, restaurants, bank, cinemas, amusements and local variety stores. It aims not only to accommodate Capiceños but also residents from the neighboring Iloilo and Aklan provinces.
Lulay Alano, Robinsons Vice President for lease, earlier assured shoppers that as the mall opens, they can now experience a world-class mall in the city.
“Roxas City is now ready for a new kind of service; we are bringing in a world-class mall, that is the promise of Robinson’s Land Group,” Alano said. (Gerry T. Pagharion )
