Summary execution victims dump site discovered In Ozamiz
The confirmed bones of about four people have been excavated by the PNP-Ozamis with the help of Brgy. Capucao in the city of Ozamis City in what was previously considered the “gold mining area” of the said area.
Brgy. Capucao Chairman Benjamin Eubitay said that more than twenty years ago the miners dug out the area because they believe that there is a deposit of gold in the area.
After a few years of digging, they did not find any gold so they just abandoned it. The pit has a depth of ten feet.
This is the reason why the dumpsite is believed to have been used as a dumping ground for victims of salvaging or summary execution in the area.
A former member of the CVO (civilian volunteer organization) gave tips to authorities on alleged corpses thrown in the said pit.
Ozamis City Police Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido himself believed that the dead bodies found are victims of the Parojinog Family.
